Amy Estes Turner (who most of you should know) has announced that she is running for circuit judge of the Fourth Division (apparently you have to capitalize that) for Washington and Madison Counties.
I have known Amy personally for over 20 years, and I can state unequivocally that she has the integrity, patience, wisdom, courage, sympathy, intelligence, insight, and experience to successfully handle the types of cases that the Fourth Division hears.
Amy grew up in a family of attorneys, and currently works with her father and brother in Fayetteville. Amy has broad experience, having worked internationally, as a public servant, and as a local lawyer whose case load closely resembles the types of cases heard by a Circuit Judge.
Amy has practiced as an Assistant Attorney General in Seattle in the Labor and Employment Division advising Washington state agencies on a wide variety of employment and labor relations issues, and she has broad litigation experience including a wide variety of civil, domestic relations, and criminal cases.
Amy received her B.A. and J.D. from the University of Arkansas where she was on the Dean's List and was a member of the Arkansas Law Review. She is a member of the Washington County Bar Association and the Arkansas Bar Association.
The election (which is non-partisan) is on May 22, 2012, and I fully endorse Amy and hope that you will do the same. If you would like to help out with the campaign in any way (or if you just want to find out more), please start by visiting Amy’s Facebook page HERE and “liking” it. There will be lots more information posted to the page in the coming weeks.
Let’s get Amy elected!
