Boardwalk Bar & Grill
Z's Mom has been telling me to check the fries at this joint for a while, and we finally had an excuse (my birthday) to go there recently. This building has been like 20 different restaurants over the years, and I'm pretty sure I've tried every one of them.
Boardwalk has a beach theme. There's a swanky "blue water" bar on one side.
And a big room with hammocks hanging from the ceiling on the other side.
Pro Tip: Don't sit in the giant room before sunset. It faces west and you will be blinded. However, right before and during the sunset it's beautiful.
The fries are beer battered. $2.29 gets you this:
About 38 rectangle-cut and lightly battered. You can just barely taste the beer (which is good).
Hot, crunchy outside/fluffy inside.
Excellent. 10 out of 10. Do it.
Extra props for having MASSIVE FUNNEL CAKES as a dessert. If you can finish one of these, you have a problem.
